Early Life

Prakruti Mishra was born on 3rd March 1995 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India to music director Manmath Mishra and newsreader Krushnapriya Mishra. She demonstrated artistic talent from a young age, learning Odissi dance under Guru Gangadhar Pradhan.

Childhood Stardom

She started her acting career at the age of five with films like Sabata Maa and Suna Pankhuri. Prakruti rose to fame in Odisha through her role as Smruti in the TV series Tulasi, and won the Odisha State Film Award for Best Child Actor in 2006 for Sashughara Chalijibi.

Film and Television Success

Transitioning into lead roles, Prakruti made her Ollywood debut with Thukool and appeared in over ten Odia feature films, including Omm, Bindas Romeo, Om Sai Ram, and ACP Sagarika. Her Hindi television work includes notable roles as Devanyi in Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki, Bitti in Bitti Business Wali, and Madhura in Laal Ishq.

National Recognition

In 2018, Prakruti won a Special Mention at the 65th National Film Awards for her performance in the movie Hello Arsi. She received the “Odia Sensation of the Year” title in 2019 at the Odisha Music Awards.

Reality TV and Jury Honor

Prakruti was a finalist on MTV India's Ace Of Space 2 and participated in Zee TV's India’s Best Cinestars Ki Khoj. In a historic achievement, she became the youngest-ever jury member for the National Film Awards at the 71st edition in 2025, highlighting her growing influence in Indian cinema.
